Our client is an event organiser of a wedding for 450 guests in a 40,000 sq ft structure, Aircraft Hangar 113, at Bicester Heritage , The roof is circa 15m high increasing the volume cubic capacity which requires careful calculations. We initially quoted for 4no Arcotherm Jumbo 200 indirect heaters running off 4 road tow fuel bowsers. We use road tow bowsers instead of HGVs fitted with hiab cranes to minimise the risk of damage by HGV delivery and collection vehicles. Unloading static Transcubes via hiab isn't comensurate with most private venues. The delivery and collection costs are roughly the same with fewer access issues. During the initial site visit we carried out temperature checks of the concrete slab and walls. Subsequently a difference of a few sunny weeks enabled us to reduce the number of Jumbo 200 heaters. These heaters use 20 litres of fuel per hour when calling for heat. The ducting is a single 700m fabric tube, or 4 x 305mm fabric tubes which are fed through a door blank made from sterling or ply board. Install and commissioning is prior to event with onsite technician on event day.
